Health and Safety Principles for Supervisors and Managers
This program examines the causes of workplace accidents and the affects these accidents have on workers, employers, and society. The history of Canada’s workers’ compensation system is outlined, as is the development of our current approach to workplace safety. It also describes the safety responsibilities of a supervisor and the actions a supervisor must take to ensure a safe workplace for workers. Information on Occupational Health & Safety legislation in Canada, including the responsibilities of the employer and the rights and responsibilities of workers are also looked at in this course.
