AWARE-NS is a standalone safety association created by stakeholders from Nova Scotia Health and Community Services in a deliberate effort to inspire and improve workplace culture of safety and well-being for the dedicated people providing care and support. AWARE-NS is a unique collaboration of organizations and agencies working together to create positive change that will reduce and eliminate workplace illness and injury.
Our Mission is to work with stakeholders and partners to promote and improve safety and health in Health and Community Services workplaces. We believe that a healthy workplace is a basic right that requires everyone to be a leader in workplace health and safety in order to prevent all workplace injuries.
